Syracuse Tops Pitt with Strong Second Half Play
CHARLOTTE--For Pitt to have a shot at knocking off number six seeded Syracuse, they would need a standout performance. They got just that from Jared Wilson-Frame who scored 15 points in the first half as the Panthers took a 36-30 lead into the locker room.

Syracuse's Buddy Beoheim came out firing in the second half. Boeheim knocked down a 3 point basket early in the second period to give Syracuse a 40-39 lead over Pitt. He would finish the game with 20 points. The Orange would never take their foot off the gas after that. Three Syracuse players finished the game in double figures including Elijah Hughes (6-12, 18 PTS)
