Carolina Panthers face tough challenge with 49ers in week 5

NFL Week 5 in Charlotte is another big challenge for the Carolina Panthers hosting San Francisco and their league dominating defense. Baker Mayfield should expect constant pressure from the 49ers defensive front and can’t afford another slow start or missed opportunities to extend drives.

The Panthers defense certainly can keep playing well especially focused on forcing more takeaways and trying to score whenever possible. Heading into this matchup, Coach Matt Rhule discussed some of the issues surrounding his 1-3 squad, and how they addressed those things this week in practice.

For the second straight week the visiting team from the West gets a late game kickoff so there is no real body clock adjustment that would have to be made for a one o’clock start.
