MetLife Stadium In East Rutherford New Jersey was the Giants home opener in NFL Week 2 and the Panthers came in looking for their first win of the season.

Four Field Goals in the first half sent both teams into the locker room tied at 6, then in the third quarter Baker Mayfield went to work hitting DJ Moore from 16 yards out for a touchdown completing a 3 play 67 yard drive.

The Giants quickly answered when Daniel Jones found his tight end Daniel Bellinger for a 16 yard score that tied the game back up 16-16.


With 12:31 left in the game the Giants capped a 9 play 58 yard scoring drive with a go ahead 52 yard field goal.


Carolina kept the heat on in their next possession when Christian McCaffrey broke open a big 49 yard run that set up Peneiro’s 38 yard field goal and the game tied back up 16-16.--


The Giants offense managed a long 7:12 time of possession late in the 4th quarter that resulted in another field goal. Graham Gano accurate from 56 yards and Carolina trailed 19-16.

Mayfield tried to rally back but was sacked just before the two minute warning and the Panthers drop to 0-2 on the season.
