Carolina Panthers injury report trending toward strengthening roster as key names status improves
The Carolina Panthers have struggled to get beyond the singular win they have this season. That has been due, in large part, to execution. Interim head coach Chris Tabor addressed the media earlier this week and said that there would be no major changes in how the team runs right now but that he did expect them to be a classy, hard hitting unit. And on Thursday, when re-emerging play caller Thomas Brown was asked about changes, he echoed those sentiments and also talked about allowing players to operate more freely.
Despite losing back-to-back games, the Buccaneers’ will look to carry over the momentum their offense racked up last week starting with Rachaad White’s 100 yards on the ground at 6.7 yards per carry – something Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero appears to have a plan for.
As the list of players on IR grows - adding rookie offensive lineman Chandler Zavala as well as Laviska Shenault this week, the Panthers Thursday injury report did have some brighter news. There were five less names listed as DNPs with only Hayden Hurst, Vonn Bell and Marquis Haynes not participating. But there were 10 players listed as limited, including Taylor Moton, Tommie Tremble and Xavier Woods. CJ Henderson was a full participant for the second day this week.
The Panthers face the Buccaneers on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST at Raymond James Stadium.
