Carolina Panthers turn up intensity in practice to match Spartanburg heat
The Carolina Panthers could have eased back into practice after their day off but head coach Matt Rhule took another approach. He turned up the intensity with a live goal line focused session to close out practice. The effects were exactly what he was hoping they'd be. The team responded on both sides of the ball with energy and enthusiasm and left wanting more reps. "You find out a little bit about your team," Rhule said.
Rhule as well as players like linebacker Hasson Reddick noticed that the energy is going up and the mistakes are starting to go down. "Goal line is a man's-man's game you know what I'm saying," Reddick said.
"I feel like we're knocking out more of the small mistakes which will allow us to focus on bigger things."
The Panthers continue training camp in Spartanburg, SC on Monday Aug. 8. Start time for the next session is subject to change.
