David Tepper issues statement after six-figure fine by NFL for actions at recent game
During the Carolina Panthers matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Panthers' owner David Tepper was seen in a video throwing a drink in the direction of fans in the seats below the suite he was located. The incident took place shortly after Bryce Young's pass was intercepted late in the game according to a report by NFL.com writer Grant Gordon.
The league issued a $300,000.00 fine this week in response for Tepper's actions which the organization responded to.
On Tuesday, the organization released a statement from Tepper. “I am deeply passionate about this team and regret my behavior on Sunday. I should have let NFL stadium security handle any issues that arose. I respect the NFL’s code of conduct and accept the League’s discipline for my behavior.”
The Panthers had no further response about the incident.
