LaMelo Ball already opening up about what he will add to the developing Hornets' roster
LaMelo Ball is officially a Charlotte Hornet. And he's already very vocal about what he'll bring to the developing Hornets team. "I feel like I fit anywhere real good ...because it's definitely position-less basketball now," Ball said.
The 6-7 guard, who left Chino Hills High School before the start of his junior season, eventually landed at on the Illawara Hawks roster. The Hawks are part of Australia’s National Basketball League where Ball saw success last season and was named NBL Rookie of the Year.Ball averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Many are familiar with Ball's eldest brother Lonzo, who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. And now the world prepares to see how brightly LaMelo's star will shine as a member of the Charlotte Hornets as part of of the first set of brothers to both be selected in the top three of the NBA Draft.
Per the team's announcement, Hornets fans will have their first opportunity to celebrate Ball’s selection on Thursday Nov. 19 at the Hornets Fan Shop at Spectrum Center.
