Panthers topple Saints 26-7 as defense disects Jameis Winston apart


The New Orleans Saints were favorites to win Sunday's matchup at Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, NC. But that all changed when Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey posted his 29th game with 100+ yards from scrimmage in the team's 26-7 win over the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers are now 2-0 on the season.

- 5 receptions for 65 yards


McCaffrey garnered 24 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers 26-7 win over the Saints.

The Carolina Panthers defense held Alvin Kamara to just 5 yards rushing and 25 yards receiving in the Cats 26-7 win over the New Orleans Saints. The Saints, as a team, only gained 48 yards on the ground on 17 carries. That was primarily due to Carolina Panthers DE Brian Burns who at times appeared to be demonstrating the anatomy of the sack during the team's win over the Saints. The Panthers are now 2-0 on the season.

And rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn got first career interception during the win.


New Carolina Panthers Kicker Zane Gonzales is ready for action ahead of the Saints at Panthers game. The Panthers notched the 26-7 win over the Saints with Gonzalez' making 2 of 3 of his attempts.


This week the team travels to Houston to take on the Texans Thursday night.
