Tepper pulls plug on Matt Rhule era, moves on with Steve Wilkes
Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper met with the media on Monday afternoon to officially say that the organization was moving on from third year Head Coach Matt Rhule.
Fresh off the Panthers 37-15 loss in NFL Week 5 to the San Francisco 49ers, Tepper felt it was time to make a change, especially after Rhule’s .289 winning percentage and back to back losing seasons.
Steve Wilks who has NFL Head Coaching experience in Arizona will take over in the interim for this season starting with a road trip to Los Angeles for a matchup with the Rams in week six.
